The Green Film Lab’s aim is to create awareness about sustainability in the film industry by promoting environmentally sustainable practices in film production. It will also give film professionals a new perspective on how to apply a green protocol and achieve certification.
Green Film Lab is delivered to film and TV series industry professionals, as well as to sustainability consultants.
Taking place in Glasgow from 20-22 September 2024, the three-day workshop is designed to advocate for environmentally sustainable methods in film production while providing professionals with fresh insights into implementing green protocols and obtaining certification.
Who can apply?
- Film and tv series industry professionals involved in the pre-production and production stages, interested in getting and improving their skills in sustainable practices on set.
- The workshop is open to producers or other professionals from the production team, heads of department, writers, directors - with a project (team of 2 people) and without a project.
- Professionals with at least two years of experience in the field of environmental management interested in learning how an audiovisual production is carried out, how to apply their skills to the audiovisual context and who want to build a professional network in the film and series industry.
- Professionals from the screen industry already working on sustainability on set.
- Delegates from Funds, Film Commissions, Film Institutions interested in knowing more about sustainability on set.
Green Film Lab is a programme by TorinoFilmLab and Green Film, organised by National Museum of Cinema and Trentino Film Commission, in collaboration with EAVE. The programme is realised thanks to the support of Creative Europe - MEDIA Sub-programme of the European Union. Green Film Lab - Glasgow 2024 is delivered in partnership with Screen Scotland and BECTU Vision.
How to apply
Scotland’s Film and Television professionals are invited to join Green Film Lab on Saturday 21 September for an Open Morning Session of case studies, speakers and presentations on Sustainable Screen production. The deadline for registration is now closed.
The event is free of charge and support with travel costs is provided by Screen Scotland for those travelling from outside Glasgow.
