About

The Virtual Production Fellowship is an exciting and transformative, 9-month Virtual Production training programme that provides in-depth, highly qualitative experiences for a small, focused cohort of mid-to-senior level crew working across film, HETV, games, broadcast and live events who wish to skills up and learn core virtual production (VP) competencies, both creative and technology skills required to work in high-pressure environments.

The Virtual Production Fellowship programme trains talent from foundational, to advanced leading to an expert practitioner by the end of the 3-year programme.

The four cohorts working together are:

  • Producing Virtual Production (e.g. producers, line producers, script supervisors)

  • Creating Virtual Art (e.g. 3D artists, technical artists, VFX, production designers, post production)

  • Running a Volume (e.g. stage technicians, stage operators, vp supervisors)

  • Filming in a Volume (e.g. dops, directors, art department)

With a thorough combination of mentorship, specialist learning (creative and technical), mixed cohort learning and on-set experience this fellowship programme establishes a high benchmark for virtual production skills in Scotland. Learning outcomes and impact will be defined for each specialism track for proficiency and level achievement in alignment with Final Pixel’s Accreditation Framework.
