Limerick Film Lab Open Call for Producers

Screen Scotland is offering producers the opportunity to participate in an International Co-Production Lab focusing on co-production partnerships with Ireland and Canada, taking place in Limerick, Ireland.

About the Limerick Film Lab

The Limerick Film Lab, presented by Innovate Limerick through Film in Limerick, is a new initiative developed to enhance storytelling and co-production by facilitating creative exchange between producers based in Scotland, Ireland and Canada.

Hosted in collaboration with Screen Scotland and Picture NL, the lead agency for film in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, Limerick Film Lab will serve as a dynamic space for creative exchange, fostering co-production opportunities across borders and building lasting relationships between filmmakers from three culturally rich nations.

Participants will be immersed in a three-day residential program in Limerick, followed by attendance at the Galway Film Fleadh, a key international film market. The Lab is designed to encourage creative partnerships, with a particular focus on narrative feature film productions. Participants will have the opportunity take part in a series of interactive workshops to stimulate creative partnerships and develop new content, explore internationally focused business partnerships and gain insights into each country's funding landscapes,

The programme will take a deep dive into all aspects of developing a meaningful co-production including story development, financing, creative talent focus, IP, legal structures, sales and distribution. It will include case studies and keynote industry speakers; all focused on navigating international co-productions and developing high-quality feature films that connect with global audiences.
